Ultrasound Technician

Location: Watertown, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, 7 PM – 7 AM)
Specialty: Ultrasound Department (Vascular and Obstetric experience required)

Job Description

• Perform ultrasound procedures with proficiency in vascular and obstetric imaging.
• Utilize major medical sonography equipment, including manufacturer-specific hardware and software.
• Apply knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Independently exercise good judgment and take initiative in decision-making.
• Manage multiple projects efficiently under deadline pressure.
• Demonstrate professional maturity, honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Maintain flexibility and willingness to undertake new responsibilities.
• Comply with on-call requirements as needed.
• Proficient in personal computer use, including word processing.
• Ability to work effectively under stress.

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology or Medical Sonography.
• Minimum 1 year of radiologic/imaging experience with specific training in medical sonography.
• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Maintain all registries and licenses required by state and federal law.
• Must comply with a 100-mile radius rule.
