Job Opportunity: Histology Tech - Lab (Travel)

Location: Naples, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days (7am-4pm or 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday)

Requirements

Valid Florida license
ASCP certification
Minimum 5 years of experience in Histology (highest required)
Ability to gross all specimen types
Ability to float between campuses as needed

Job Description

The Histology Technician is responsible for performing all technical procedures in accordance with regulatory standards including CAP, TJC, CLIA, AABB, and OSHA. The role involves testing specimens from patients of all ages, ranging from newborns to geriatric, with varying clinical conditions and acuity levels. Critical thinking, judgment, and proficiency in histology techniques are essential.
