Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist works under the direction of medical leadership in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. Responsibilities include performing CT technical procedures, assisting in clinical evaluation and patient care, and creating diagnostic images. The role involves working with trauma, emergency room, outpatient, inpatient (including intensive care), and research patients, as well as performing specialized CT scan-guided procedures. Radiation safety measures per New York State Department of Health code part 16 must be practiced and enforced.

Schedule

• Friday-Saturday: 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities

Required Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
• High school graduate (high school +1)

Licensure & Certification

• New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York State
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CT specialty (entry level with limited or no experience may be considered based on skill set)

Additional Information

• Replacement contract for current traveler not re-upping
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
