Job Opportunity: RN - Rehab (Travel)

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) - Rehabilitation (Med/Surg)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float Requirements: Must float within hospital units including Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury units
Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)
Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:6-7 during the day, 1:8 at night; each nurse has a dedicated tech
Number of Beds: 81 private rooms
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Epic

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of Missouri
• BLS (CPR) Certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Rehabilitation nursing (Med/Surg)
• Must be flexible, collaborative, and have a positive demeanor
• Required education: RN Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential preferred

Job Description Highlights

• Provide inpatient rehabilitation care for patients recovering from strokes, brain or spinal cord injuries, amputations, multiple trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions
• Work in a specialized rehab hospital environment with dedicated units for brain injury and stroke care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, specialists, and family members to improve patients’ functional ability and quality of life
• Participate in a comprehensive treatment approach addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs
• Use specialized equipment and high-tech therapy devices in gymnasiums and therapy spaces
• Support patient independence through practice in a special apartment for daily living tasks
• Adhere to facility policies including influenza vaccination or approved exemption with masking during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)

• Scrub color: Black scrubs required
• Must wear agency-provided ID badge
• Report to Charge Nurse at start of shift
• Parking available in garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level)
