Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to Wound/Ostomy Care patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and supervising assigned personnel delivering patient care.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Required to cover weekends based on facility needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Minimum 2 years of wound care experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- WOCN certification (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing)
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
