Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health (Psychiatric)

Location: Richmond, Texas
Employment Type: Per Diem
Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)

Unit and Work Environment

Unit: Trauma Floor, Psychiatric Specialty
Number of Beds: 24
Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 12 patients
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Electronic Health Record (EHR) System: Pinpoint

Patient Population and Common Diagnoses

Psychiatric patients
Common diagnoses include schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, dual diagnosis, and detoxification

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
Minimum of 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
Behavioral Health experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
