Physical Therapist Travel Job - Texas

Location: Conroe, Texas

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Acute care and Inpatient Rehab setting
• Hospital Average Daily Census (ADC): 230-280 patients
• Inpatient Rehab Unit: 24 beds
• Staff: 13 full-time staff (9 PTs, 5 PTAs), plus PRN and shared staff
• Patient Ratios: 7-8 evaluations per therapist in acute care, 4-5 in inpatient rehab
• Equipment: Standard acute and rehab physical therapy equipment
• EMR System: Meditech

Job Description

• Perform physical therapy evaluations and treatments
• Work with a diverse patient population including NICU, ICU, Med/Surg, Ortho, Inpatient Rehab, and stroke patients
• Opportunity to float between acute care and inpatient rehab units as needed
• Supportive team environment with strong leadership
• Comprehensive stroke center and Trauma II accredited facility

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
• Minimum 1 year of experience in physical therapy field
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• De-escalation skills in healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in acute care (preferably 1 year, but not mandatory)
• Experience in inpatient rehab, NICU, ICU preferred
• Willingness to float between acute care and inpatient rehab units
