Job Summary

Deliver nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families. Monitor changing conditions and re-evaluate care plans as needed.

Unit Information

• Unit: Cardiothoracic ICU
• Beds: 14 (expanding soon to 26)
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2, varies by shift needs
• Equipment: CRRT machine, Balloon pump, External Vent Drain, Impella, PrismaFlex
• EMR System: EPIC
• Patient Types: Cardiac (open heart, CABG), Neuro (stroke, brain surgery)

Shift Details

• Shift: Day
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Weekend Hours: As needed, rotating
• Call: None
• Float: Will float to ICU and progressive units as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (exemptions require approval)
• Dress Code: Black scrubs
