Travel RN Opportunity - Obstetrics and Gynecology (ObGyn)

Location: Springfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Position Details

  • Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology (ObGyn)
  • Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Shift: Nights (18:30 - 07:00)
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
  • Weekend Hours: As required by facility
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Number of Openings: 1

Experience & Licensure

  • Required Specialty Experience: Minimum 1 year in ObGyn
  • Prior Travel Experience: Not required
  • Licensure: Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
  • Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) only

Unit Information

  • Department: Obstetrics and Gynecology 5B (Mother/Baby and Labor & Delivery)
  • Beds: 24 adult, 10 newborns
  • Patient Ratios: Approximately 6:1
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Float Requirements: May float to mother/baby unit and labor & delivery

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Experience with mother/baby and med/surg patients
  • Team player with a positive attitude and motivated self-starter
  • Must be able to orient on day shift and be available for the entire orientation week

Dress Code

  • Black scrubs and Mercy branded tops only
  • No other scrub colors or attire allowed

Additional Information

  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required from November 1 to April 1 (declinations not accepted)
  • Utilizes nursing process to provide patient care and maintain professional accountability
  • Coordinates patient care with other departments while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Aligns with facility mission, values, and service standards
