Travel RN Opportunity – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: Paris, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Profile

• Department: PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)
• Trauma Level: IV
• Number of Beds: 8
• Patient Ratios: 2:1
• Equipment: Vital signs monitors, IV pumps, airway management, crash carts
• Electronic Health Records (EHR): Meditech, TigerConnect
• Patient Population: All ages except neonates
• Shift: Days with various start times
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36-40
• Weekend Hours & Call: On call in rotation with PACU crew
• Float Requirements: Must float to Pre-op

Position Requirements

• Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must have prior to start)
• Required Education: ADN RN; must hold RN licensure valid in Texas
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2+ years in PACU (higher requirement if discrepancy)
• Preferred Experience: ICU experience is a plus
• Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required
• Personality Fit: Friendly, calm under pressure, easy going, kind

Additional Information

• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Travel candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility
• Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs (provided if needed)
