PICU Nurse - Brooklyn, New York
Employment Type: Long Term
Unit Description:
- Pediatric ICU with 11 beds and telemetry capability
- Additional surge bed capacity with ICU-trained staff and monitoring
- Cases include Respiratory Failure, Trauma, Surgical, Sepsis, Neurosurgical
Shift Details:
- 11.5 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
- 60-minute unpaid lunch
Floating:
- Expected to float, potentially including Pediatric ER
Nurse to Patient Ratio:
- 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity
Required Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in PICU specialty
Prior Travel Experience:
- Not required
Certifications Required:
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PCAR (Pediatric Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation)
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- CCRN Certification
Contract Length:
- 13 weeks
