PICU Nurse - Brooklyn, New York

Employment Type: Long Term

Unit Description:

Pediatric ICU with 11 beds and telemetry capability
Additional surge bed capacity with ICU-trained staff and monitoring
Cases include Respiratory Failure, Trauma, Surgical, Sepsis, Neurosurgical

Shift Details:

11.5 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
60-minute unpaid lunch

Floating:

Expected to float, potentially including Pediatric ER

Nurse to Patient Ratio:

1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 depending on patient acuity

Required Experience:

Minimum 3 years in PICU specialty

Prior Travel Experience:

Not required

Certifications Required:

PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
PCAR (Pediatric Cardiac Arrest Resuscitation)

Preferred Qualifications:

BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
CCRN Certification
