ICU Nurse Opportunity - Norwich, Connecticut

Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Care Details

  • Unit Type: Dual level of care (Telemetry/PCU/ICU)
  • Unit Size: 25 beds
  • Patient Ratios:
    • Floor side: 1:5-6
    • PCU: 1:3
    • ICU: 1:2
  • Common Diagnoses: Chest pain, strokes, respiratory failure, sepsis
  • Primary Stroke Center

Shift Details

  • Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and holidays as needed

Experience and Certification Requirements

  • Minimum ICU Experience: 2+ years
  • PCU experience required
  • Required Certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must be comfortable working in a unit handling ICU overflow
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
