Unit Details

Neurosciences unit
37 beds
Expected ratio: 1:6
Floating may be required to support hospital needs in lower or similar acuity areas

Patient Population

Stroke
Seizure/epilepsy
Spinal cord injury and infections
Neurodegenerative diseases
Neuro trauma, including traumatic brain injury and bleeds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Neuro ICU experience with 2 years of experience
Neuro ICU experience within the last year
Neurology experience
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS certification, renewed annually

Additional Requirements

Every other holiday
8 essential weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule period
