Respiratory Therapist

Location: Reading, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 15 weeks

Job Description

Start ASAP
Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Expected weekly hours: 36
Weekend schedule: every 3rd weekend and potential holidays
No on-call duties
Dress code: black scrubs
No parking fees

Required Skills & Responsibilities

Experience with NICU/Pediatrics and adult patients
Proficient in:
- Nebulizer medication administration
- Meter Dose Inhaler (MDI) and Dry Powder Inhaler (DPI) medication administration
- Initiation and management of invasive and non-invasive ventilation for neonates through geriatrics
- Arterial blood collection, analysis, and reporting
- Airway management and assistance with intubation
- Assisting with bedside bronchoscopies and tracheostomy care
- Internal patient transport
- Neonatal bubble CPAP and high flow oxygen therapy for all ages
- Bronchopulmonary hygiene techniques (flutter, vest)
- Oxygen therapy delivery

Required Certifications & Licenses

Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Pennsylvania
Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
BLS (Basic Life Support)
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Experience working with Neonate and Pediatric patients

Additional Information

No return to office (RTO) approved from September 1 to November 15 due to system conversion
Local rates apply for candidates within 50 miles (note: pay details omitted)
