Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics

Location: Norfolk, Virginia
Employment Type: Long Term
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours guaranteed weekly, including every other weekend and holidays
Call Requirement: Yes, details to be discussed during the interview

Job Description

Provide respiratory therapy care primarily in pediatric settings including Emergency Department (ED), Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and general pediatrics care.
Manage vented patients and conduct diagnostic tests.
Develop treatment plans and provide emergency respiratory care as needed.

Required Qualifications

Valid Pediatric Respiratory Therapist license in Virginia.
Minimum 3 years of pediatric respiratory therapy experience, including experience within the last year.
Certifications required:
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
Experience working with pediatric patients across multiple care areas.
General respiratory therapist experience.
