Job Opportunity: Radiology Tech

Job Summary

The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing and retaining high-quality diagnostic images using imaging, computer, and other equipment. The role requires thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and image quality standards. The technologist prepares patients for procedures, educates them, and addresses their questions or concerns. Communication and safety approaches must be age-appropriate, considering physical and functional growth and development principles.

Key Responsibilities

Produce diagnostic images that meet or exceed department and industry standards.
Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and image quality.
Prepare and educate patients for procedures, responding to questions and concerns.
Ensure age-appropriate communication, safety, and patient education.
Understand patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, infection control, and quality control.
Apply radiation safety techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Oversee and train students providing patient care and services as part of their training.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in general radiology.
