RN-Physician Practice Nurse

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Shift: Days (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday)

Job Summary

Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in a hospital setting. Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote continuity and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver care to patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs.
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required.
• Assess patient and family readiness to learn; use appropriate patient education materials.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and participate in revising care plans as needed.
• Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary resources for care planning and discharge preparation.
• Participate in unit goals, performance improvement, and cost-effective care initiatives.
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure environment.
• Communicate effectively within the healthcare team and with patients/families.
• Engage in professional growth activities and provide feedback to coworkers.
• Recognize and address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care.
• Apply research findings to clinical practice.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinic nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited school.
• Experience in physician office, urgent care, and emergency department settings.
• Experience in urology nursing.
• Ability to apply research findings to clinical practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school.
• Experience in physician office, urgent care, or emergency department settings.
