Technicians perform PSG and CPAP/BiPAP testing in an efficient and effective manner, providing quality care to all patients. The Polysomnographic Technician demonstrates a willingness to assist others, work well with minimal supervision, and have strong, independent judgment. The Polysomnographic Technician uses department and hospital-wide policies and procedures during the provision of patient care, and is accountable for improving job knowledge and skills. Job Responsibilities: -Disconnect patient from electrodes, assist them in any way needed, and complete appropriate paperwork. -Meets with and educates the patient about the sleep study, sleep apnea, CPAP titration, and reviews all paperwork. -Monitor patients during sleep study and responds accordingly following department policy and procedures. -Properly connects patient with appropriate electrodes to perform sleep study. -Administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy in a manner that follows department policy and procedures. Qualifications:
