Vascular Technologist Position

Location: Morristown, New Jersey
Employment Type: Staffing - Supplier Sourced
Contract Length: 8 weeks (54 days ≈ 8 weeks)
Shift: Monday through Friday, varying shift times

Job Description

• Care for adult and geriatric patients during vascular procedures.
• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Report clinical changes in patient condition to RN or physician.
• Contact NP, PA, or MD immediately with STAT results and/or abnormal findings.
• Document all procedures accurately, including labeling and identifying studies, recording procedure-related information in medical records, and entering charges.
• Perform related duties such as reporting equipment malfunctions, assisting others, completing special assignments, cleaning work areas, and replenishing supplies.
• Maintain standards of sterile procedures and infection prevention.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience strictly in vascular ultrasound (general techs with some vascular experience will not be accepted).
• Demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular technology (CVT) technical skills.
• Must be able to take call.
• Proficient in performing the following exams:

  • Upper and lower venous duplex
  • Upper and lower arterial duplex
  • Carotid duplex
  • Abdominal duplex (renal, mesenteric, and portal exams)
  • Hemodialysis duplex
  • Arterial Doppler PVR
• Demonstrates standards of performance including ownership, teamwork, communication, and compassion to support patient satisfaction and service excellence.

Notes

• Candidates must be fully qualified vascular technologists specializing exclusively in vascular ultrasound.
• Prior travel experience is not specified or required.
