Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Valid Oklahoma or Compact nursing license required
• Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg nursing experience required
• Experience with Meditech electronic health record system required
• Must be able to float to all Med-Surg floors
• Pediatric experience preferred

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for ICU, ER, L&D, Cath Lab Tech, RRT
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for ER (AHA or ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for L&D, NICU, RRT
• State Nursing License verification (Primary Source Verification)
• NURSYS verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP)

Background and Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Background check must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years and cover: SS Trace, Counties, Nationwide, Sex Offender, FACIS Level 3
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Education verification as applicable
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant acceptable), must be cleared before start
• 2 professional references within 3 years required
• Employment application and annual skills checklist required

Health and Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination acceptable
• Negative TB test (2-step PPD, T-spot, or Q-Gold) within 12 months or chest X-ray if positive
• Annual TB questionnaire completion required
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Positive titer or proof of 2 vaccines required; no declinations/exemptions accepted
• Hepatitis B: Positive titer, 3-dose vaccine series, or declination required
• Flu vaccine documentation required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); declinations accepted with waiver
• COVID-19 vaccine (new Comirnaty mRNA 2024-2025 booster required) or facility-specific medical/religious waiver required

Orientation and Facility Requirements

• Completion of HealthStream modules prior to start (2-3 hours, must be done by Friday before Monday start)
• Review and sign Commitment to Excellence Standards and Staff Orientation materials prior to start
• Clear passport-style photo required for badge
• Facility-specific waivers for flu and COVID vaccines if declining
• Fit mask and color blind exams completed onsite during orientation

Additional Notes

• Candidate must be prepared to comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements prior to start
• Orientation includes 16 hours non-billable time, including module completion
