Job Opportunity: Therapy/Rehabilitation - Travel/Contract

Hours: 36 hours guaranteed per week
Shift:

• 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) specialty preferred
• New graduates will be considered
• California license required and must be in hand within 8 weeks

Certifications & Licenses

• Current California state license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross (current, clear copy required)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) preferred
• National Tech Certification as applicable (for allied professionals/techs)
• Primary source online verification of state license

Background & Compliance Checks

• Standard background check including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/schooled
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM check
• Annual HHS/OIG check

Competency Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable by profession)
• General Competency Exam (as applicable by profession)

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start date
• Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year; if past positive, negative chest x-ray within 1 year required
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
  • Varicella (titer, 2 vaccines, or history of chickenpox)
• 9 Panel Drug Screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Additional Requirements

• Emergency Contact Form prior to start
• 2 Professional References (for travel, allied, per diem acute care roles) within 3 years of start
• Annual Skills Checklist

This position offers a structured day shift schedule with guaranteed hours and is suitable for therapists with SNF experience or new graduates holding a valid California license. Compliance with health, background, and certification requirements is mandatory.
