- Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department (ED) or Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Prior Travel Experience: Not explicitly required; first-time travelers accepted if all requirements are met

Background Checks & Compliance

Competency & Testing Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam required (score must include dosage calculations)
- Color Blind Testing required for all candidates
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for this role (must pass with 80% or higher; only 2 attempts allowed)
- Conscious Sedation Competency Exam may be required depending on assignment specifics
- Orientation testing on-site during orientation (not pass/fail)
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year prior to start (not required by facility but required by agency)
- Mask Fit Test within 12 months of start (3M masks preferred; can be done onsite)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination form signed
- Negative TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or 2-step PPD within 90 days) or chest X-ray if positive TB history
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; declination allowed with signed forms
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer or completed vaccine series with booster and re-titer as needed; declination allowed
- Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines required; declination allowed
- Drug screening within past 12 months (agency requirement, not facility)
- Seasonal Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Sept 29 - Mar 31)
- COVID vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
- Meningococcal vaccine required for Microbiology lab techs (not applicable here)

- Badge photo required (professional, waist-up, clear lighting, simple background)
- Must sign facility-specific job description, license acknowledgment, equipment safety form, health history form, policies and procedures acknowledgment, security info form, personal data form, code of conduct acknowledgment, and annual stroke education review
- Background packet including personal data form, national background check form, and other required documents must be completed prior to start
- WA State License Complaint Clearance required for all using WA state license (not required for compact license holders)
- Suicide prevention training and demographic attestation required for multi-state licensed nurses working in WA

- Candidates must complete annual stroke education modules if working in specified units
