Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

• Provide RN coverage for Carroll County with support for Baltimore County
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
• Possible on-call requirement
• Weekend work generally not required but may be needed occasionally
• Patient population: Geriatric patients
• Expected daily visit volume: Approximately 6 visits per day
• Local candidates are acceptable

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Home Health)
• Minimum 3 years of home care experience (higher end of 2-3 years stated)
• Experience with OASIS documentation
• Valid Maryland RN license (compact license accepted)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other screenings
• Drug screening (9-panel) within one year of start
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• Immunizations and health documentation as required (e.g., TB test, MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season
• N95 mask fit test within one year of start, updated annually
• Professional references within 2 years required (2 for travel positions)
• Competency exams and documentation as applicable

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Call and weekend requirements are possible but generally limited
• Patient population is geriatric, with a moderate daily visit load

This position is ideal for experienced home health RNs licensed in Maryland who are comfortable with geriatric care and OASIS documentation, and who can commit to a 14-week travel contract with weekday hours.
