Job Opportunity: ARDMS Ob/Gyn Sonographer (Travel/Contract)

Location: Stamford, Connecticut

Job Description

  • Full-time ARDMS Ob/Gyn certified sonographer position in a high-risk/Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) unit.
  • Work in a high-volume, AIUM accredited community hospital setting with advanced prenatal diagnosis and gynecologic evaluations.
  • Responsibilities include covering patients from an active labor floor and testing unit.
  • Collaborate closely with Maternal Fetal Medicine and Reproductive Genetic specialists and nurses.
  • Participate in teaching Ob/Gyn residents and medical students.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ARDMS certification in Ob/Gyn is mandatory.
  • Ability to perform complete gynecologic and obstetric scans with physician available for immediate review.
  • Ability to assist physicians with procedures such as CVS, amniocentesis, and sonohysterogram.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption (mandatory by 11/1)
  • COVID-19 vaccine exemptions accepted with proper documentation and compliance with PPE and symptom screening.

Competency Exams and Documentation

  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam (for applicable RN roles).
  • Color blind testing for clinical roles involved in point-of-care testing.
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam for applicable RN specialties.
