Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel/contract assignment in Washington.
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA Instructor or Provider
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for RRT & EDAHA only
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for RRT & EDAHA only
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – Required for RRT; for Labor & Delivery, must be within 6 months of hire
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – Required for ER RNs
- EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) – Required within 18 months of hire for Labor & Delivery RNs
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) – Required for ER RNs within 18 months of employment (one-time)
- NIH Stroke Certification – Required for ER RNs
- State License Verification – Primary source verification required
Required Competencies
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as applicable)
- Competency Exam (required)
Background and Screening Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years (includes SSN trace, county, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
- Education verification required; if completed outside the county, US equivalency documentation required
- Drug testing: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- References: 2 professional references completed within 1 year of start
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (various acceptable options)
- Rubeola (Measles): 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Mumps: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Rubella: 2 MMR vaccines or positive titer
- Hepatitis B: Documentation of 3 doses or signed declination
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declined
