Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Utica, New York

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Requirements

  • Valid New York RN license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Emergency Nursing
  • Certifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • TNCC or ATCN (Trauma Nursing Core Course or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses)
    • NIH Stroke Certification
  • Epic electronic health record experience required
  • Harassment Prevention Training Certificate (New York)
  • Ability to work in a high-volume ED with patient ratios potentially stretching to 1:5 or more during surge periods

  • Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License/State ID)
  • Emergency Contact Form
  • Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, Education Verification
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Fit mask test within 1 year and updated annually (specific mask types required)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
  • Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
    • Rubeola (Measles)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Hepatitis B (titer, declination, or vaccine series)
    • Varicella (chickenpox)
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination or declination (during flu season)
    • Pneumonia vaccination or declination
  • 9 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days of start
  • Completion of facility-specific online learning modules prior to first shift
  • Photo for badge (professional headshot)
  • Signed facility-specific job description and welcome packet acknowledgment
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam (80% passing score or higher)
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (for ICU, PCU, ER, CT ICU, and 7th Floor M/S Unit staff)
  • Color Blind Testing prior to start
