Registered Nurse - Rehab

Location: Elwood, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in inpatient hospital and rehabilitation settings (experience required).
• Patient-centered, team-oriented environment seeking motivated, caring individuals.
• Patients typically stay about 14 days.
• Must be willing to work Fridays and every other weekend (block scheduling not available).
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend.
• Locals accepted.
• Attire: Any solid color scrubs, close-toed shoes required.
• Charting system: Cerner.
• Free parking available.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas.
• Minimum of 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience within the last year.
• Experience in inpatient and rehabilitation settings.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Additional Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year work/living history, sex offender registry, and federal exclusions.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start.
• Annual TB questionnaire required.
• Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• Drug screening (9 or 10 panel) within 1 year or 30 days of start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• Two professional references required for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles.
• Kansas state-specific abuse and neglect registry checks required within 30 days of start.
