Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Melbourne, Florida
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide adult home health nursing care with a caseload ratio of approximately 27-30 patients per day.
• Must have recent Medicare Home Health experience, including post-operative surgical home health experience (orthopedic and general surgery).
• Work schedule is Monday-Friday with weekend rotation; approximately 5 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
• On-call may be required.
• Opportunity for overtime may be available.
• No float required.
• Skills required include experience with Pleurx drains.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Health setting
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
• Knowledge and training in HIV, Medication Errors, and Alzheimer's care
• EPIC and OASIS experience
• Experience with Pleurx drains

Additional Requirements & Compliance

• Background checks including Social Security Trace, Sex Offender, Education Verification, and others must be current and compliant.
• Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start; travelers cannot start with fingerprints pending.
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start required.
• Fit mask test required within 12 months prior to start (strict mask policy, must be fully shaven).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start required.
• Immunization titers required for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, and Varicella within 5 years of start.
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start required.
• Auto insurance required for home health travel nurses.
• Candidates must complete facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, confidentiality agreement, and badge form.

• Scrubs: Any solid color.
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers.
• Contracted hours are guaranteed.
• Must submit finalized Return to Office (RTO) plan with submission; no changes accepted after offer.

Prior Travel Experience

• First-time travelers accepted; no prior travel experience required.
