Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical LVN / LPN

Location: Bolivar, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must have a minimum of 2 years recent Medical-Surgical experience
• Prior travel experience required (no exceptions)
• IV Certification required
• BLS certification required
• Valid Missouri LPN license required

Required Qualifications

• Valid LPN / LVN license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience, including experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP) certification
• IV Certification
• Prior travel experience

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of identity (government-issued photo ID)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and various federal/state screenings
• Primary source verification of state license
• Drug screening (9-panel, within last 12 months)
• Immunizations and health documents including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (titer or 2 vaccines)
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption (required annually)
• Physical exam attesting ability to meet job demands (initial and annual)
• Clinical references (minimum 2)
• Completion of competency exams and orientation safety acknowledgements

Additional Notes

• Candidates placed in long-term care must obtain Missouri Family Care Safety Registry verification (time-sensitive)
• Facility-specific orientation modules and compliance checklists required
• Religious and medical exemption forms for COVID and flu vaccinations may be required and reviewed by the facility

This position is ideal for experienced LVN/LPNs with recent Med-Surg experience who have completed prior travel assignments and hold the necessary certifications and licenses for Missouri.
