Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association
• NURSYS verification

Background and Compliance Requirements

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• Federal and national criminal, sex offender, and OIG/SAM checks within 30 days of start
• Education verification of highest degree (BSN minimum)
• State license primary source verification within 30 days of start
• Drug screening (10-panel) within 30 days of start
• Employment history covering 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days
• Annual competency exams and skills checklists as required

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific training modules and policy acknowledgements prior to start
• Completion of sexual harassment training annually
• Completion of confidentiality, information security, and cannabis acknowledgment forms
• Compliance with facility vaccination accommodation request process if applicable
• OSHA Respiratory Safety clearance if fit test is failed
• Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry fingerprinting and eligibility verification prior to start (must be completed in Illinois; out-of-state fingerprints not accepted)

Summary

This is a travel contract Registered Nurse position in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) requiring a BSN, Illinois RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications. The role includes weekend and on-call responsibilities. Candidates must meet comprehensive health, background, and compliance requirements including immunizations, drug screening, and fingerprinting specific to Illinois.
