Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Leominster, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Primarily Medical ICU patients
• Shift Flexibility: Must be able to start 4 hours before or after scheduled start time based on department needs
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and holiday
• Float Requirement: Float to Extended Care Unit
• Charting System: Epic
• Scheduling: Based on unit needs; no block schedules available
• Call: Not required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including ICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Additional Requirements

• Must pass medication and telemetry exams (if applicable) with a minimum score of 80% on the first day of orientation
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness to work without restrictions
• Background checks including 7-year criminal background check and various state/federal verifications
• Drug testing within 30 days of start date
• Immunizations and/or declinations required for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu seasonal vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
  • Hepatitis B
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
  • Varicella
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap
• TB testing and questionnaire required
• References: 2 within the last 3 years
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Notes

• This position requires flexibility and the ability to float to other units as needed.
• No prior travel contract experience is required for this role.
• Scheduling is dynamic and based on unit needs; no fixed block schedules.
• Candidates must comply with all health and background documentation requirements prior to start.
