Job Details
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Day shift, 5x8 hours)
- Call Requirement: 40-60 hours of call over a 6-week schedule
- Beds: 24
- Average Census: 70-80 patients
- Special Equipment: DaVinci XI robotic system
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Orthopedics, OB/GYN, Thoracic Surgery, ENT Surgery, Urology, and Plastic Surgery
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

- License Restrictions: Effective 11/30/2024, Indiana RNs are generally not allowed to work at this facility except for Perioperative/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers (including ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS)
- Orientation: May require completion of facility-specific orientation modules and safety acknowledgments prior to start
- Facility Forms: Must complete facility-specific compliance, confidentiality, and policy acknowledgment forms as a priority
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an Operating Room Registered Nurse position in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role requires a minimum of 2 years recent perioperative nursing experience with a broad surgical skill set, BCLS certification, and an active Indiana or Compact RN license. The position includes a day shift schedule with significant call responsibilities. First-time travelers are welcome, but local candidates are not accepted. Comprehensive health, background, and competency requirements must be met prior to start.
