Job Opportunity: Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (RN)

Shift: Day (4x10 hours)

• Options: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
  Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Description

• Work in Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with daily caseload of 4-10 cases.
• Must be able to scrub during procedures.
• Procedures include: ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator device placements, rhythm interpretation, Watchman procedure, arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardioversion, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage closure, and pacemaker insertion.
• Equipment experience preferred: Carto, St. Jude, Spectranetics laser.
• Documentation systems preferred: Epic and Claris.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• No weekend or on-call requirements.
• No floating outside scope of practice.
• Block scheduling accommodations at manager’s discretion.
• Locals accepted.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Ability to scrub and circulate during procedures
• Experience with ablations, pacemaker/defibrillator device placements, rhythm interpretation, and Watchman procedure skills
• Proficient in arrhythmia induction, baseline measurements, cardioversion, and insertion/programming of AICDs

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Valid driver’s license (front and back copy) required.
• Background check including lifetime criminal and education verification within 1 year prior to start.
• Drug screening within 30 days prior to start.
• Physical exam within 1 year prior to start.
• Fit mask (N95) certification required and must be updated annually.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray as applicable.
• Immunization or immunity documentation for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B.
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31) or approved medical/religious exemption.
• COVID vaccination documentation required or declination on file.
• Two professional references required: one from current year and one within last two years, from a supervisor or equivalent.
• Employment application and work history verification (2 years) required.
• Skills checklist and competency exams required for clinical candidates.
• Completion of facility-specific orientation, confidentiality, code of conduct, and Epic experience screening forms prior to start.
• Completion of mandatory WorkRamp modules and exams prior to start (approx. 8 hours).
