Mammography Technologist - Travel/Contract

Location: Clearlake, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, Monday - Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts)
No call, holidays, or weekends required

Job Summary

Perform specialized breast examinations to assist in diagnosis and treatment of breast disease.
Operate specialized equipment including Volpara MRS system, Hologic Mammography machine, and GE Dexa machine.
Provide clinical care with appropriate technical and decision-making skills.
Assist Radiologist with intricate mammography exams including breast biopsies.
Produce high-quality films and complete documentation.
Educate patients about exams while ensuring privacy and comfort.
Follow infection control and safety guidelines.

Required Qualifications

Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Radiologic Technologist (RT) certification issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
ARRT Radiography certification (ARRT-R)
Mammographic Radiologic Technology (MRT) certification
Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology

Compliance & Health Requirements

Background check covering last 7 years, including social security trace, county/state searches, federal court jurisdictions, and exclusion lists (OIG, OFAC, SAM) within 30 days of start
Education verification of initial related degree
Physical exam within 90 days of start
Drug test within 30 days before start
Immunizations and titers:
- TDAP within 10 years or positive titer (declinations accepted)
- Negative TB test (QGold/TSpot or 2 PPDs) within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR): positive titer, 2 vaccines, or signed declination
- Varicella: positive titer, 2 vaccines, or signed declination
- Hepatitis B: positive titer, series, or signed declination
Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific exemption required during flu season (Oct 31 - Apr 30) with mask requirement for unvaccinated candidates
COVID-19 vaccination required unless medical or religious exemption is approved

Additional Requirements

Current picture identification (Driver’s License or State ID)
Passport-style photo for badge (high resolution, no filters/selfies)
Completion of facility-specific acknowledgments and agreements prior to start (confidentiality, waiver of benefits, intellectual property rights, contractor compliance education)
Competency exams and certifications as required by the facility, including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG, conscious sedation, and others as applicable
Fit mask testing (N95 preferred) documentation required; fit testing cannot be completed onsite at this location
Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required depending on unit assignment
