Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Haymarket, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (8:30 AM – 6:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 40 hours

Job Summary

• Provide care to patients undergoing peripheral vascular, interventional, and vascular procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care following current policies and procedures.
• One weeknight call required, with call rotation every 4-5 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist
• High School Diploma or Associate’s Degree

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of I-9 or attestation.
• Government-issued photo ID.
• Background checks including criminal, education verification, and federal/state databases within 90 days of start.
• Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually).
• Two professional references from the specialty/unit within 2 years of start.
• Official transcripts or diplomas verifying highest degree earned.
• Photo for badge (passport style, business attire, solid backdrop) required before start.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start (or within 30 days if past positive TB).
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Fit mask (N95) certification within 1 year, renewed annually.
• Negative Qgold (QFT) TB test within 30 days of start; if past positive, chest X-ray within 1 year and TB questionnaire signed by physician.
• Required immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (or facility-specific declination form if applicable)
  • Varicella
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season.
• Competency exams and certifications as applicable.

Call and Shift Details

• One weeknight call per week.
• Call rotation every 4-5 weeks.
• Day shift schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day.
