Job Opportunity: Endoscopy Registered Nurse
Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Day shifts, typically 3 shifts of 12 hours each (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
- Unit Systems: Pyxis, Epic
- Patient Ratio: 1:2 nurse to patient ratio; 3 rooms, 11 beds, average daily census of 20
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Call Requirements:
- 1 weekday call per week
- 1 weekend call per 6-week schedule
- Weekends: 2-3 weekends per contract
- Floating: None
- Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days per contract
- RTO Blackout Dates: Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
- Holiday Work:
- If 1 major holiday falls during assignment, expected to work it
- If 2 major holidays fall, expected to work both
- If 3 major holidays fall, expected to work two of them
- Major Holidays Include: New Year’s Eve/Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience, with recent endoscopy experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
Orientation and Compliance
- Number of Non-Billable Orientation hours depends on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
- Full compliance with all requirements is mandatory to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to bi-weekly orientation scheduling
- Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval
Additional Notes
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- No floating assignments required
- Dress and professional appearance policies must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to start
- Candidates must review and sign the facility’s Code of Conduct before starting
