Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Nurse

Location: Montclair, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour days

Job Description

Seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specialty. Prior travel experience is not required, but multi-facility Labor & Delivery experience or travel experience is preferred.

Charting experience with Epic is preferred.

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support)
AWHONN Intermediate
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – as applicable
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – as applicable
Other certifications such as CHEMO, TNCC, CPI, MAB may be required as applicable

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP certification
TNCC certification
CHEMO certification
AWHONN Intermediate certification
NIHSS certification
CPI certification
MAB certification

Additional Requirements

Locals within 50 miles are not accepted for this travel assignment
Completion of unit-specific skills checklist annually
Work history verification for the past 7 years (NJ requires at least 1 year verified with minimal gaps)
Completion of employment application/resume submission
Photo for badge required

Notes

Orientation and onboarding may include fingerprinting and other background checks as required
Compliance with facility-specific safety and competency exams is mandatory
Documentation must be clear and cannot state immunizations or health history as "per history" or similar vague terms
