Job Details
- Work Days: Saturday through Monday block
- Must have experience in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue
Required Licenses & Certifications
- Texas Medical Board (TMB) License
- ARRT License (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC accepted at start; must renew with AHA only)
Required Qualifications
- Valid X-Ray Technician license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an Acute Care setting
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
Required Documentation & Compliance
- I9 or Attestation
- Valid government-issued Photo ID or Passport
- Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Drug testing: 10-panel within 30 days of start (no rapid screens)
- 2 professional references within 3 years of hire
Health & Immunization Requirements
- Negative TB test (TSpot or QGold) within 12 months; annual updates required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination required
- Hepatitis B: Proof of vaccine series and positive titer OR signed facility-specific declination form
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titers or documentation of 2 MMR vaccines; boosters required if titers low/equivocal
- Varicella: Positive titers or documentation of 2 vaccines; boosters required if titers low/equivocal
- Seasonal Flu Vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Competency Exams & Additional Certifications
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (passing score 80%, two attempts allowed)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required for Cath Lab Techs and related nursing units (may apply depending on assignment)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification, and other certifications are unit-specific and may not apply to X-Ray Tech role; verify if required for specific assignment
Other Requirements
- Photo for badge (passport style)
- Signed job description prior to start
- Facility-specific forms including Hepatitis B declination, flu exemptions, and NESF form
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for an X-Ray Tech specializing in Radiology/Cardiology in Dallas, TX. Candidates must hold a Texas Medical Board license, ARRT certification, and BLS. Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Hospital is required. Comprehensive background checks, health screenings, immunizations, and competency exams must be completed prior to start. Flu vaccination or exemption is mandatory during flu season.
