Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Los Banos, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Operating Room)
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Hours per week: 40
• Every other weekend required
• Must be able to take on-call shifts 12-14 days per month
• Local BR (bill rate) differs

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Additional Requirements

• Must review and sign facility-specific documents prior to start, including:

  • Job description
  • Standards of business conduct
  • Code of conduct
  • Overpayment refund policy
  • Vendor training (2024 and 2025 versions depending on contract date)
  • General regulatory orientation for contracted workers
  • TB questionnaire signed by candidate and healthcare provider (MD, PA, NP/APN, DO, or RN)
• Candidates requesting religious exemptions for vaccines or facial hair must complete specific exemption forms and obtain approval
• References:

  • 2 professional references required for clinical positions within 3 years of hire
• Competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology and possibly EKG/dysrhythmia competency
• ICU RNs at certain locations may be required to take an onsite EKG exam after start
