Job Description

  • Position: CT Tech III / X-ray
  • Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Required Certifications:
    • ARRT (R)
    • ARRT (CT)
    • California Fluoroscopy Permit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in California
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • ARRT (CT) certification
  • California Fluoroscopy Permit
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year

Certifications (as applicable)

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC only
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or ARC only (verify by position)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – AHA/AAP only, must be Instructor or Advanced Provider Course (verify by position)
  • IV Certification (Venipuncture) – may be required (verify by position)
  • State License Verification – primary source verification required within 30 days of start
  • Tech Certification Verification – required within 30 days of start

Background and Screening Requirements

  • 7-year background check including SSN trace with all aliases, county searches, nationwide sex offender search, education verification, and motor vehicle report if applicable
  • FACIS Level 3 screening required within 2 weeks of start and monthly thereafter
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required and updated annually
  • Sex Offender Search within 90 days of start
  • Drug Screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law)
  • Employment application with full 7 years of work history, no gaps
  • Employment verification for up to 7 years, with explanations for gaps over 30 days

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start (must state "cleared for work" or equivalent)
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, renewed annually (specific mask types accepted)
  • Immunizations and/or titers required:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
    • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days, renewed annually
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella – positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
    • Hepatitis B – positive titer, series, or signed declination
    • Varicella – positive titer or vaccination series with boosters as needed
    • Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 – Apr 30) or signed declination
  • Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids)

Competency Exams (as applicable)

  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (may be required for some Telemetry units)
  • Telemetry competency exam for ICU nurses (if applicable)
