Shift: Day shift, 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 40 hours per week

Job Description

• Work primarily in an outpatient endoscopy center with pre- and post-procedure care as well as inpatient experience.
• Ability to float to other facilities within the system.
• Schedule is 6 out of 7 days.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in California
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of endoscopy experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Trauma I/II experience.

Additional Requirements & Notes

• Must complete UCSF Learning Center modules ASAP after compliance clearance; cannot start floor work until completed.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required.
• Flu vaccine or facility-specific declination required during flu season.
• Annual TB questionnaire required within 30 days of start.
• UCSF requires wage benefit parity form completion for all clinical candidates.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) may be required depending on unit.
• Pass/Fail testing includes EKG and medication exams.
• Candidates must be prepared for UCSF’s orientation pass/fail exams with provided quick tips.
• Fit testing can be completed onsite if necessary, with specific procedures for certain units.
• Religious and medical exemptions for COVID-19 vaccine require advance submission and approval.
• Candidates must complete emergency contact information and other facility-specific documentation prior to start.

Summary

This is a travel Registered Nurse position in endoscopy requiring a California RN license, minimum 2 years of experience, and specific certifications (BLS, ACLS). The role involves day shifts with the ability to float to other facilities. Extensive background checks, immunizations, competency exams, and facility-specific trainings are mandatory. Prior trauma experience is preferred but not required.
