Job Details

- Urology (surgical and non-surgical)
- Benign hematology
- Medical/Surgical (MS)
- Telemetry (Tele)
- Unit Details: East Tower 3, 27 beds, Urology unit
- Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:4-5
- Call: No call required
- Floating: Traveler will float to different units within the organization as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing
- Experience in Intermediate Care
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Background and Screening Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting (Ohio-specific codes apply)
- Fingerprinting must be completed within 1 year of start; new fingerprinting required if break in service exceeds 90 days or results are older than 1 year
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring required
- Education accreditation confirmation required for nursing degree from accredited programs (CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA)
- High school diploma or GED verification required
- Employment application and skills checklist required
- Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal leadership)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start confirming good health and free of contagious disease
- Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 1 year or chest x-ray if positive
- TB questionnaire required annually in lieu of TB test renewal
- Adult Tdap vaccination required (no exemptions if working with infants or pregnant patients)
- 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, and Rubella; boosters required if low titer
- Hepatitis B titer or 3-vaccine series (signed declination acceptable)
- Varicella: 2 vaccines or positive titer; medical exemptions require documentation
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (new travelers cannot start with pending drug screen)
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season (10/1 - 3/31); mask required if declining
- COVID-19 vaccination not required but strongly recommended
Facility-Specific Policies and Training
- Annual review and acknowledgment of dress code and hand hygiene policy
- Confidential Fraud, Waste, Abuse, and Compliance Reporting training and form required
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Annual orientation safety manual acknowledgment required
- NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit; must be obtained within 1 year of start and renewed every 2 years if applicable

- Candidates must be prepared to float to different units as needed
- No call responsibilities for this assignment
- Fingerprinting and background check processes are time-sensitive and must be completed prior to or shortly after start date
- Some certifications can be renewed onsite if expired at time of hire
