Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job in Greensboro, North Carolina

Job Details

Discipline: Registered Nurse
Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), every other weekend, holidays as needed
Float: Required to float across multiple facilities as needed
Patient Population: Primarily Medical-Surgical (MS) with Telemetry capability
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty (first-time travelers are accepted)
Preferred Experience: Previous Charge RN experience preferred

Job Description

Care for patients with a variety of conditions including:
- Observation patients
- Respiratory conditions
- General Medical Surgical diagnoses
- Palliative, End of Life, Hospice care
- Psychiatric Observation
- Diabetes management (including new diabetics and those with complications)
- Surgical patients and surgical observation
Use of EPIC electronic health record system
Pass/fail EKG exam required during onboarding

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Medication Administration Badge (MAB)
