Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Radiology / X-Ray Technician
- Work Environment: Fast-paced, high volume clinic
- Patient Age Group: Adults, Adolescents, Geriatrics
- Patient Ratio: 1:1
- Weekend and On-Call Requirements: None
- Orientation: Bi-weekly sessions
- Flu vaccine is required; no exemptions or declinations accepted
- First-time travelers are not accepted
- Local candidates within 75 miles considered
Required Qualifications
- Valid X-Ray Technician license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of X-Ray Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA approved
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification for X-Ray Tech
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Background checks including:
- Criminal background (within 90 days) covering all counties lived/worked/attended school in past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks (within 90 days)
- Education verification confirming graduation from an accredited Radiologic Sciences program with AAS or higher
- Drug Testing: Negative 10-panel drug screen including THC within 30 days of start (no instant tests)
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 12 months
- Fit mask (N95 or equivalent) within 12 months
- Immunizations/vaccinations including:
- Flu vaccine (mandatory, no exemptions)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccination or positive titer (no exemptions)
- Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Polio vaccine or signed attestation
- References: Two professional references from employment within the last 12 months, at least one supervisor
- Employment application and skills checklist (updated annually)
Additional Notes
- Candidate must set up a guest account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
- Competency exams and pass/fail testing on basic tech knowledge will be conducted at orientation
- Color blindness testing may be required (not disqualifying)
- Candidates must complete all required online modules prior to orientation
- No exemptions or declinations accepted for required vaccinations
- Candidates with less than 30-day gaps between assignments may have some documentation accepted on file
This position is ideal for experienced Radiology / X-Ray Technicians comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment with adult and geriatric patients, who meet all certification and compliance requirements.
