PCU Travel/Contract RN Job

Location

  • Bend, Oregon

Assignment Details

  • 13-week contract
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week
  • Weekend requirement: every other weekend
  • Floating may be required within scope to Med/Tele, PCU, and ED Boarding
  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 75-mile radius
  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • RTO limit: max 7 total days in the 13-week assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • ACLS
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with Epic

Experience / Skills

  • Epic experience required
  • Level II Trauma experience

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

  • Background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Diploma or transcript on file
  • Education verification
  • State license verification
  • NURSYS verification
  • Photo for badge
  • Acceptable Use and Confidentiality Agreement
  • Contractual and Third Party Access agreement
  • Compliance and Privacy Program Attestation
  • Emergency Contact Form

Health Requirements

  • Physical exam
  • Tdap
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray
  • TB questionnaire
  • Measles immunity
  • Mumps immunity
  • Rubella immunity
  • Hepatitis B immunity
  • Varicella immunity
  • Drug screen
  • Flu vaccination or declination/exemption
  • COVID vaccination record if previously vaccinated, or declination/exemption if never vaccinated

Pros

Traveler friendly. Lots of staff. Busy LDRP but not insanely busy. Bend is a beautiful city with lots of things to do.

Cons

Cost of living is high.
