Shift: Day, 3x12s, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM

Unit Details

Adult neuro patients in a progressive care setting
Includes neurosurgical recovery, stroke management, neuro-specific diagnoses, and medical overflow
5 dedicated beds for continuous 24-hour epilepsy monitoring
Floating required within clinical skillset
Typical ratio: 1:4–5

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Neuro PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response (dysrhythmia interpretation/management, Rapid Response/Code teams)
Experience with Epic

Scheduling Expectations

May work every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week block
One holiday required per 13-week contract
Block scheduling requests may be accommodated
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

First-time travelers accepted
Local candidates accepted within radius rule criteria
Up to 26 weeks available by request, only on the designated PCU unit
