Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: Seaside, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: Day shift, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM), 5 days a week (40 hours/week)
Schedule: 8-hour days only; no 4x10 or 3x12 shifts available
Patient Ratio: 1:1; may visit up to 6 patients per day (30 productivity points standard)
Weekend Work: Occasional weekend coverage may be requested but is not common
On-Call: Not required
Floating: No floating between units required
Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
Locals: Candidates within 50-75 miles considered local and accepted at the same rate
Transportation: Traveler must have their own transportation; daily travel radius up to approximately 60 miles (60-90 minutes total drive time)
Electronic Health Record: EPIC required (remote client and Rover app for charting)
Attire: Business casual; scrubs allowed but no specific color required; no jeans
Parking: Free
Mileage Reimbursement: IRS standard

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon
Minimum 1 year of experience in Home Health nursing, with experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience working in a Home Health setting
Experience with EPIC electronic health record system

Special Requirements

Must be able to use EPIC electronic health record system
Must have reliable transportation for patient visits within a large geographic area
Facility may occasionally request shift trades for weekend sick calls (rare)
Guaranteed hours with possibility of being called off up to one shift per pay period

Notes

First-time travelers are accepted
Return travelers with less than 30-day gap may not require new background checks or drug screens if current at another facility
Annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules may be required depending on assignment and region (not required for this home health position)
