Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Travel/Contract)

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (4 shifts per week, 10 hours each, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 40


Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Endoscopy unit on a travel/contract basis. This role requires working every other weekend and participation in bi-weekly orientations.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • Completion of at least one prior travel assignment
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Weekend shifts required every other weekend
  • Orientation sessions held bi-weekly

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Candidates must provide and maintain up-to-date documentation including but not limited to:

  • Valid Driver’s License or government-issued photo ID
  • Social Security Card (if used for I9 verification)
  • Background checks within 90 days of start, covering all counties lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 90 days of start
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start (latex allergy acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with specific documentation if history of positive PPD)
  • Required immunizations and titers:
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (every 10 years, no exemptions)
    • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (vaccines or positive antibody titers, no exemptions)
    • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
    • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer; boosters if low/equivocal)
    • Polio vaccine or signed attestation
    • Seasonal Flu vaccine (required annually during flu season; no exemptions)
  • Negative 10-panel drug test including THC within 30 days of start (instant tests not accepted)
  • Two professional references from employment within 12 months of start (at least one supervisor)
  • Employment application with 7 years of work history
  • Annual skills checklist update
  • Competency exams and unit-specific competency checklists to be completed within 3 weeks after start
  • Pass/fail testing on EKG/medication knowledge administered at orientation (passing score 80%)

Additional Requirements & Notes

  • Must set up a facility-specific Guest Account prior to clearance to access orientation and work systems
  • CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) Blue Card training provided onsite if candidate does not have one
  • Candidates must complete all required online modules prior to orientation
  • Facility-specific instructions and first-day information will be provided before orientation week
  • Candidates with less than a 30-day gap between previous assignments may have some documentation requirements waived or accepted on file

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with Endoscopy or related clinical experience who meet licensure and certification requirements and are able to commit to the specified contract length and schedule.
