Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Thousand Oaks, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work at a primary and specialty care campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.
- Flexible day shift start times between 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM, ending between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM.
- No weekend shifts required.
- Float to sister facilities as needed.
- Scrubs color: Royal Blue.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Certifications & Competencies
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC) as applicable.
- Facility-specific competency exams required, including medication/pharmacology competency.
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, updated annually.
- Negative TB test (QGold) within 1 year of start; chest X-ray if applicable.
- Immunizations or proof of immunity for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination during flu season.
- COVID-19 vaccine dose or declination form per facility guidelines (vaccine must be administered on or after 9/12/2023).
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug test within 12 months of start (Aya requirement).
- Fit mask testing with approved mask models within 1 year of start (not required for non-clinical roles).
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Completion of mandatory online training modules including:
- HIPAA Privacy and Information Security Training
- OSHA Annual Education Training
- C-ICARE Training Module and Post Test
- Code of Conduct Module and Post Test
- Radiation Hazard Awareness Training
- Safe Patient Handling Training (clinical or non-clinical as applicable)
- Review and sign facility-specific documents related to:
- Elder Abuse Reporting
- Child Abuse Reporting
- Domestic Abuse Reporting
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Submission of a recent, clear, color photo for badge issuance (if applicable).
- Completion of access request forms and other onboarding paperwork within 72 hours of signing.
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome.
- Shift is 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours weekly.
- Candidate must be prepared to float to other nearby facilities as needed.
