Job Opportunity: Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Work in a Diabetes Clinic setting; candidates must have prior experience in diabetes care.
• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours per day (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday.
• Total hours per week: 40.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
• Minimum of 1 year of Ambulatory Care experience within the last year.
• Experience in a Diabetes Clinic setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Certifications & Training

• BLS (Basic Life Support) required for all clinical positions.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) is not required for this clinic setting.
• Completion of facility-specific learning modules (approximately 8 hours) prior to start.
• Pyxis Acknowledgment form must be signed prior to start.
• Completion of facility-specific job description form prior to start.
• Standards of Conduct and Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure Agreements must be reviewed and signed before starting.

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start.
• Proof of N95 mask fit test within 1 year prior to start (specific approved mask models required).
• Tdap vaccination required; declinations are not accepted.
• Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months; if positive history, clear chest x-ray within 12 months and annual TB questionnaire required.
• Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella: documentation of 2 vaccines or titer with boosters if needed; declinations not accepted.
• Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or signed declination accepted.
• 9-panel drug test within 1 year prior to start.
• Seasonal flu vaccination or agency flu declination required year-round.
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless approved medical or religious exemption is on file.

Background & Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check including SSN trace, county, state, federal, and national sex offender searches.
• HHS/OIG clearance required.
• Employment application and skills checklist required.
• Primary source license verification within 30 days of start, visually verified and signed.
• Proof of W4 on file.

Additional Notes

• No scrub color requirement; scrubs provided by the facility.
• Facility does not provide onsite N95 fit testing; travelers must bring their own approved mask or PAPR if needed.
• Facility offers free flu vaccinations to contractors with badge access.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
